We are looking for Ambassadors for upcoming LCDPR discussion

The LCDPR has been created to provide a forum of discussion for Labour members to debate and shape Labour's drug policy for the future. To do that, we are seeking to stimulate debate and discussion at grassroots level in a series of public meetings across the United Kingdom.

The aim of these discussions is to use the contributions and conclusions of the meeting to inform policy recommendations around drugs, and present the key findings to the Labour front bench ahead of the next election.

In order to successfully run these events, we are looking for volunteers to become Ambassadors. Ambassadors will take charge of organising these events using links within their local communities to locate and secure free facilities (such as local halls, university rooms etc..) and to ensure they are well advertised and attended. Ambassadors will draw on the knowledge of local experts such as academics, medical professionals, treatment workers and police officers to inform and prompt debate among local members.

If you wish to apply to become an Ambassador, please contact info@labourdrugpolicy.com with a short introduction telling us about your areas of interest and how your skillset is suited to the role. Applicants will ideally have experience in, or a broad knowledge of, current drug policy issues and debates, and the nuances surrounding them. It is essential that Ambassadors are currently members of the Labour Party.

Keep your eyes peeled on our social media channels for your local upcoming event, with further details announced in the coming weeks. We look forward to hearing from you and continuing this conversation across the country. If you have any questions about the role, or the campaign more widely, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
