North West Ambassador
Mark Whitfield is the Intelligence and Surveillance Manager at Liverpool John Moores University’s Public Health Institute. He leads a team who provide intelligence on a range of services throughout the north-west of England, covering areas such as needle exchange provision, A&E presentations and the delivery of brief interventions. Mark has also lead PHI’s work around drug related deaths and has chaired many of Cheshire and Merseyside’s DRD panels for a number of years. Mark has a background in the field of drugs and alcohol having worked for 12 years originally within the scope of addictions services within a local mental health NHS Trust.
